Disaster Response

When catastrophe strikes, Niner United and its VOAD sponsors respond to disasters and help rebuild communities.  We provide life-saving assistance that reduces suffering, helps restore dignity and jump-starts economic recovery.

If you are interested in being a part of future disaster relief teams, email Ben at

Niner Food Pantry
Volunteer with the Niner Food Pantry. Mondays: 2:00 – 5:00pm. At each Niner United Wednesday worship you will have the option to sign-up for specific dates. The pantry is located at 1224 John Kirk Drive. This location is adjacent to the University Terrace Apartments and is accessible for students commuting by car or foot.
Restavek Freedom Child
Every month Niner United students take up a collection for our sponsored child through Restavek Freedom. Restavek is a form of modern-day slavery that persists in Haiti, affecting one in every 15 children. Typically born into poor rural families, restavek children are often given to relatives or strangers. In their new homes, they become domestic slaves, performing menial tasks for no pay.
Men's Shelter of Charlotte
Volunteering with Niner United at the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte every first Friday. We leave from the student union loading dock at 3:15pm and return around 7pm.
