October 4-8 Fall Break Mission Trip
About the Trip
Spend your fall break (we are off from class Monday and Tuesday October 7-8) with our inner city mission trip to Denver, Colorado. Denver is a great place to visit in the fall. The weather should be great and the experience will be amazing. After we fly into Denver, we will be staying at a Presbyterian Church and volunteering in inner city mission projects – much like we do in Charlotte. This trip will give us a view on how other cities, similar in size to Charlotte, handle housing limitations and affordability issues as well as hunger and food scarcity. We will spend a few days living out authentic Christian service, while also gaining leadership experience in non-profit operations. We will also take a serious amount of time to rest (it is fall break after all) and center ourselves prayerfully in the Scripture and worship.
Cost & Funding the Trip
The total cost for this trip is $250. The cost includes lodging at the church, food, formation and ministry expenses, transportation in Denver, and airfare. We know fundraising can be difficult. That’s why we do everything we can to keep your personal fundraising requirements as low as possible. Even if the trip costs are too high, Niner United provides you with tools to raise the necessary funds. This can be an opportunity to invite others to join our mission who are unable to serve in such a way as actually going with us.
The trip is technically full, but we have a waitlist and there is still a good chance you can travel with us. To apply for the trip simply complete this form.
We will be flying out of Charlotte the evening of Friday October 4 and will return early afternoon on Tuesday October 8.
